‚5062‘ – is running

*pjew* it’s done.

last weekend we (Melanie, Claudia, Laurin, Andrea and me), could build up the whole installation in two days. Everything worked quite well. In the beginning we had some small problems with „getting the sphere running“ but after we got some help of Tino Hager (via Internet-conference) we got the whole thing running. The official opening-ceremony will be in November, in Salzburg. You can take a look at the sphere 24h a day. It’s right in the „Bezirkshauptmannschaft“ in Salzburg (next to the Railwaystation, GPS coordinates are 47°48’53.1″N 13°02’37.1″E)

The whole project is a competition we (Melanie and me) won in January 2016. between the pictures is the concept written by Melanie.

since a few years i’ve had this idea on my mind… that some how… it should be possible to digitize my head… in this case at least my face. This weekend i found some time to get the whole thing done. i think the result is really impressive. I only had a digital camera, a laser and my laptop… and of course some time. but to be honest i didn’t think that it would work… wau!

well. this is some thing i’ve been thinking since about a year. today i finaly managed a small program to (more or less) randomly generate the shapes in a specific way (or at least in a shape as i want them to be). i really like the result.

Competition in Salzburg

pjew… the last two month without a post. this doesn’t mean that nothing happend. in those 8 weeks we moved in to a new… old house in Dornbirn. its about 130 years old and wasn’t in use for the last 13 years. This means quite a lot of dust to remove.

A week ago we (Melanie Greußing and me) won the competition for a „Kunst am Bau“ Project in Salzburg. It’s going to be an installation for 4 month. We’re quite happy and i’m sure that soon i’ll be able to show some more pictures. Here’s our proposal:  Jeee!
